Dante's Kitchen
About This Spot
Stepping into Dante’s Kitchen feels like settling into a warm, familiar embrace right in the heart of East Greenwich. This is the kind of place where time slows down a bit—where the hum of soft conversation blends effortlessly with the clink of coffee cups and the comforting aroma of breakfast favorites unfolding in the kitchen. It’s a relaxed neighborhood spot that invites you to linger, whether you’re starting your day or easing into the afternoon.
The atmosphere here strikes a perfect balance: cozy but lively, approachable but thoughtful. The friendly chatter of attentive staff and easygoing guests fills the space without ever feeling rushed or crowded. It’s clear this is a kitchen that takes pride not only in the food but in making you feel genuinely welcome, a place where familiar faces and new friends find something to savor together.
The menu is a spirited celebration of American morning traditions with a Southern twist, where classics like biscuits and gravy meet unexpected delights like pecan smoked bacon or a boldly spiced Bloody Mary. It’s a culinary story told through thoughtful details—a dollop of creamy grits, the tender pull of smoked pork, or a surprise of Nutella swirled into fluffy French toast. Drinks here carry the same warm care, whether it’s an iced coffee that cools just right or a rich, seasonal latte that feels like a quiet indulgence.
Whether settling into the bar with a morning cocktail or claiming a corner table to savor the day's specials, Dante’s Kitchen carries an unpretentious charm that stays with you—comforting, familiar, and refreshingly genuine. This is a spot where meals are not just eaten but quietly enjoyed, and where small moments of kindness and care make every visit feel like coming home.

This cozy spot in East Greenwich has become one of my go-to restaurants. The atmosphere immediately makes you feel welcome – it’s the kind of place where you can relax and enjoy your meal without any pretension. What really sets Dante’s apart, though, is the warmth of the staff and owners. Everyone is genuinely friendly and attentive, making you feel like a valued guest rather than just another table to turn. The food is excellent across the board. The quality and care that goes into each dish is evident, and you can tell the kitchen takes pride in what they’re serving.

This was a unexpected joy. I had a friend invite me to this location. Inside is very attractive and trendy. We went for brunch so it wasn't too busy and the waiter (who I think was also the bartender?) was awesome. Nice guy! Anyway, we order some of their flavored coffees. My friend got Coconut Creme while I got S'mores. The coffee was tasty, and smells like a wonderful blend of well, coffee and the flavor mentioned. Especially the Coconut. My friend ordered an eggs Benedict while I ordered the Crispy Pork Belly Po Boy. What came out was impressive! The food looked, smelled and tasted amazing! My Po Boy was crispy, buttery, slightly sweet (from the slaw) and meaty. Amazing Po Boy. Came with a side of fried Chickpeas. (Which are surprisingly addictive.) Entire meal was relatively short but memorable. I highly recommend visiting!

Went for breakfast at Dante's today. We started off with their beignets with sauces(nuttella, strawberry puree and apple butter) and covered with powder sugar. They were soft, warm and easy to cut through. We also got their special of the ginger pancakes. These were good but perhaps has too much strawberry puree on them as it did over power the ginger flavor. We also got the standard item of the vegetable burrito. This burrito combined with their homemade hot sauce was a hit. The prices are closer to the higher end but this place is located on Main Street in East Greenwich so the prices are in-line with other places in that area. Great place to go when you are looking for a bit of an upscale breakfast. Will definitely be back.

Food was amazing, but extremely slow service. Food felt like it took an actual full hour to come. Would still go back. Bloody Mary was delicious.

Always consistent, always great! I’m talking the food, the service, the atmosphere, the drinks….. My “go to” is biscuits & gravy with friend chicken. Even the home fries are exceptional. We ate at the bar and had a couple drinks (it was just part noon, so don’t judge! ) and Emily was super awesome. It’s a bit of a hidden gem and a really, really nice change from a typical breakfast joint.

I had a great experience at Dantes. I had the pulled pork breakfast. It was so savory and not overly filling. Pork wasn't dry and perfectly mixed w the eggs and potatoes. My friend had the shrimp grits but we were so hungry and the food was so tasty that we forgot to take pictures when the food came out. The server at the bar was so attentive and very polite. She had great energy that got us all talking at the bar. Very nice small town restaurant. I would go out of my way to eat here if I was in the area.
